Sobering Notion Number Two

The Iraq War has cost the U.S. a minimum of Thousands Dead, many times that wounded, and 500 Billion Dollars. Quite a few say the numbers are twice that.

Ethanol plants for 50% Ethanol fuel for every vehicle in the U.S. would cost a one time capital outlay of well under 70 Billion dollars for Distillation equipment.

(Many autos can burn a 50/50 Ethanol - Gasoline blend)

There are many ways to make Ethanol without using any corn acreage at all, negating the need to worry about food shortages.

Google "Ten Sections per County" then pass it on to your friends.

The entire planet could switch to Ethanol for vehicle fuel for a one time 500 Billion dollar distillation equipment outlay. -David Blume Author of "Alcohol can be a Gas" Other one time expenses are distribution upgrades and a vehicle conversion costing a few hundred dollars per vehicle for Cold Starting if one burns E-100

For new autos like Brazil drives, the payback for using E-100 is at minimum a 22% increase in mileage over Gasoline when the engine is designed for it, since the thermal efficiency is up to 46% on E-100, while Gasoline engines are at best 20% thermal efficient.

Is Hugo's Dream Crumbling?

http://independent.org/newsroom/article.asp?id=2107

Is a crumbling Socialist Paradise in a time of high oil prices an indicator of what?

Corruption?

What will happen to these people, should oil prices take a dive?

I hope Hugo has one of his G-4s on "Standby"

A Sobering Notion

The total amount of energy consumed by humanity as of 1982 amounts to less than 1/500.000 th. of one percent of our daily energy income from the Sun.

50 billion gallons of Ethanol from smokestacks?

http://gristmill.grist.org/story/2008/1/21/2249/26547

It happened again! A pesky independent thinker relates an idea to make Ethanol from smokestack fumes! 50 billion gallons from US smokestacks harvesting Carbon Monoxide. That is one third of auto fuel use in America.

This won't do!

We can't deindustrialize America and hand it over to a bunch of Patriarchs who have schemed for decades to steal her if people are not broke and starving first!
Looks like they are going to have to rethink "Plan Ireland" and come up with another way to destroy the distinct American Culture.

Ethanol without Yeast Ma! $1.00 a gallon

Dang! Just when You think the world as we know it is going to End....
Some dynamic Human isn't following the script and is ad-libbing!

Now. If we could just get E-100 or E-96, we could build vehicles with far better mileage per gallon than some wreck running on pump gas.

Ron Paul finishes Second. Again!

It must really be a fear filled Main stream Media that forgets to mention Ron took 2nd place in Nevada, Louisiana and promptly mentioned all the other finishers in sequence without saying a word about Paul, who is also second in having funds on hand to go the whole distance.

It will be a brokered convention. No doubt about it.

Chalk one up for the Rule of Law!

The Real Rudy?

Giuliani Bungled Preparation in Years After 1993 Attack on Trade Center.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vaCYEEO-58I

Critical failures by former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani before, during and after the terrorist attack on September 11, 2001, raise serious questions about his ability to be commander-in-chief.

In this thirteen minute documentary, fire fighters, fire officers and family members give dramatic testimony about Giuliani's leadership failures. Their dramatic stories tell how Giuliani failed to provide the FDNY with radios that worked, which led to the deaths of 121 fire fighters inside the World Trade Center's North Tower because they were unable to hear orders to evacuate.

Fire fighters also point to Giuliani's poor judgment in placing his emergency command center at 7 World Trade Center, a known terrorist target after the 1993 bombing.

This video documents the mayor's lack of respect for the fallen when he called off the recovery effort at Ground Zero on Nov. 1, 2001, after $200 million in gold bullion was recovered.

"We produced this documentary because we need to make sure our members know Giuliani's real record," said IAFF General President Harold Schaitberger.

"The UFA participated in this video to correct the myth that Rudy Giuliani has perpetrated on the American public," said Steve Cassidy, president of the Uniformed Firefighters Association of Greater New York, IAFF Local 94.

The Giuliani campaign defended the former mayor's record by issuing a release that lists items he purchased for FDNY.

"But the campaign, with its response, has neglected to address the charges of failed leadership outlined in our documentary," President Schaitberger said.

"Purchasing equipment for a fire department doesn't qualify any mayor to be president," said Jack McDonnell, president of New York City Local 854, the Uniformed Fire Officers Association.

"If that's the litmus test for president of the United States, then most mayors in this country qualify for the job. Giuliani is running on his 9/11 record, and his 9/11 record is laced with failures in preparedness and response," McDonnell said.

The IAFF has not made an endorsement in the 2008 presidential election. Local 94 supported President George W. Bush in the 2004 election, while the IAFF
and Local 854 endorsed Sen. John Kerry.

The International Association of Fire Fighters, headquartered in Washington, DC, represents more than 280,000 full-time professional fire fighters and paramedics in every state in the United States and in Canada. More information is available at www.iaff.org/ and at www.rudy-urbanlegend.com/

Who You going to believe? Your lying eyes viewing the signature of an FBI official on a document they claim does not exist, or the institutional word of the FBI? An Agency known for covering up their Forensic Lab Crimes, the JFK Hit, WACO, etc.

How about considering the possibility that High up folk in the FBI Lied to protect favored criminals who made the War on some Terrorists possible?

It's not early 1963 anymore. We have "Confessions of an Economic Hit Man" and "The Secret History of the American Empire" to guide us.

Too cheap to buy a book? Just download "War is a Racket" by General Smedley D. Butler to realize a handful of vile men have steered USA Inc. into doing crime for a century and most newspapers and media have been covering for their Crimes for a long, long time.

"Paging General Ripper, General Jack D. Ripper"

Like a broken clock is correct twice a day, was General Ripper correct about Sodium Flouride and what it does to people when added to the public water supply?

Ask any chemist about the charge difference between naturally occurring Calcium Flouride in some water supplies and man made Sodium Flouride?

I must admit I feel anything Nazis put into water supplies in death camps to control population via a chemical lobotomy is probably not good for your pregnant wife and child. What price have we paid for the last 5 decades by allowing a by product of aluminum mfgr. and smelter smoke into us?

Big Pharma isn't going to like this!

I am an EFT technician, having received training in Level One and Level Two courses offered by Mary Stafford, one of 30 EFT Masters in the world. The story below might seem like an impossible feat, but I have seen similar results. This is something so Revolutionary, so Powerful that it might scare some. Not to worry, any child can learn this in minutes. You teach a child this and the whole playground will know it in twenty minutes. What is it?

Mind-Emotion-Body re-integration. Tapping instead of acupuncture. Your voice spoken in affirmation to render stress, trauma, illness no where to live. It can even help victims of Sexual Abuse. Trauma like PTSD is but a faint memory.

When this really catches on, look for Big Pharma stocks to take a dip.

I look forward to seeing the day when the medical industry is half as large as it is now. That extra 8 or 9 percent of GDP belongs in our pockets. Be nice to own an ultralight airplane. So Mote it be.

Is Corn a Scapegoat? Who built the Altar?

EROEI? Energy Return on Energy Invested

Corn has a conservative return of between 30 and 70 percent more energy than is put into it. Some of the people pushing the old "Corn is negative EROI" myth were on the payroll of Mobil 3 decades ago, some are hacks working for the American Petroleum Institute. The API is hardly a place where competition is encouraged. One man, quoted time and again did the trick. Professor David Pimentel of Cornell.

Even though corn is one of the less productive crops used to make Ethanol, that is why hacks used it. There are varieties of Fodder beets that can make 3 to 4 times more Ethanol per acre than Corn, and return distillation residue to feed livestock as well.

How many know that Prohibition was shoved through a hard drinking CONgress with a huge bribe paid to the Woman's Christian Temperance League by none other than that b*st*rd price fixer, John D. Rockefeller.

JDR who wanted to sell a waste product called Gasoline that he could not sell for much into something that he could make a swell profit on if only he could destroy the demon rum, and every still on every farm in the country.

Henry Ford sold the first flex fuel vehicles for good reason: There were more stills than gas stations, until Prohibition and the first bumper crop of Criminal elements could also Bless America as a by product of Legislation.

Remember: If there are no alternatives to petroleum, we must sacrifice some of our children on the Altar of The Incorporated Military Industrial Educational Medical Financial Complex* via War in the places where Oil must be acquired (stolen)

If we buy that Lie, then Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld should be Leaders for Life, and lets get on with debating how wonderful the Seahawks played last year.

Otherwise, Let's open our eyes for the first time in a long time and read "Alcohol can be a Gas" by David Blume.

There is one plan David mentions that could replace all our transport fuel needs without taking any prime Farmland used for vegetables, corn, soy etc.

Ten Sections per County

All one needs is 1.5% of the worst land around. Empty gravel pits, certain mine tailing piles, flood plains too close to the river to build homes on, etc. aprox. 6300 acres in each US county devoted to feeding primary treated sewage to Cattails. Cattails are very high in Carbohydrates, which can be made today into Ethanol without any new technology. 2500 gallons per acre from starch, and 3x that in methane from cellulose and the primary treated sewage we currently dump into the river.

The net yield could be higher than 50 billion gallons of Ethanol fuel and 100 billion gallons of CNG equivalent (methane) almost exactly what US domestic and commercial transportation needs are.

All this would cost far less than 2 years of the war on some terrorists and we would have true Energy Independence. The money would stay here too, enriching small enterprises that would grow up to support the industry.

We would also absorb the nitrates and phosphates in sewage and clean up a lot of rivers and delta areas where rivers empty into dead zone areas of ocean due to that pollution.

The water coming out the far end would be fit to drink as a freebie.

But that is not all: Each ton of residue from distillation has animal feed value for livestock or fishery use.

So much for the myth that some people will starve if we make fuel off the land.

The question is what kind of land, and what crop grows best for fuel?

We have been lead to ask the wrong questions!

Don't have enough land?
Even Japan could be energy indy by farming kelp and fermenting and distilling Ethanol from fermented kelp.

Brazil powers half of their auto transport on Ethanol and they contribute electricity to their power grid on 1% of their land.

Could it be the High Price of Corn, Oil and Food are reflections on how worthless the Federal Reserve Note has become? Why would that be?

Could a one trillion dollar and growing War on Some Terrorists have something to do with it?

Guess who is holding the Goat with knife in hand?

( * You will note I am not against any function that mankind partakes in, provided the function does not conspire with The State to make itself "competition proof" Despite the fact that Ike warned the American people, people choose to sleep, and now we have a bigger octopus to deal with. More players, more Arrogance )

Awash in Energy

I don't know what to think of Peak Oil, since there are so many contradictions out there:

Russia has drilled deep and found so much oil under her that she is now a major oil exporter, larger than Saud. I see no reason why Hydrocarbons which are in every rock in space are limited to the shallow surfaces of earth, made only by dead critters.

I think the reason the former 7 Sisters ( Currently 4 sisters? ) are not investing in more oil infrastructure is based on other factors at work, plus they are proponents of the General Motors school of business. "Sell less and charge more."

Oil has been taken out of production in recent times as well, requiring that Your Son or Daughter would have to bleed on some far away desert in order to acquire somebody else's oil. Hey, It's Business......
http://www.reformation.org/energy-non-crisis.html

But enough of that. There are alternatives to imported Oil.

Listed in no particular order, New Energy advances that should have been in your newspaper yesterday:

Ethanol Fuel advances that would render North America and virtually most countries energy independent.

"Alcohol Can Be a Gas" by David Blume interviews on my server at http://network76.com/ A copy of ACBAG is available at http://ush2.com/ $47 bucks or so. Every penny worth it.
This one can't drift away since the technology is here-now.

Nanotechnology advance to allow a farmer to make all the bio diesel he needs to farm using a device the size of a suitcase to process veggie oils like Canola or Mustard seed oil, cotton seed oil, etc.

http://www.oregonbusiness.com/.docs/action/detail/rid/17609/pg/10003 the original story was released in April 06. Nothing has been updated in all of 07, yet something was supposed to be out in trial use well before 07 was over.

HTGR technology that the US and West Germany pioneered in the 70s making Nuclear Power safer and proliferation proof. South Africa and China are now in the lead with this system. It looks like China may have a working modularized unit operating within a decade.

TPD Thermal Depolymerization. Changing World Technologies. Son of Warren Buffet is said to be involved in this project. It is estimated this technology could convert crop waste, and garbage to #3 and #2 diesel for about $11 dollars a barrel in 2004 dollars (FRN). The project is supposed to be through the pilot plant phase but it has dropped off the radar. There is enough Waste from cities, farms, and the District of Columbia (bullsh*t and paper) to generate about the amount of oil the US imports each year. 4 billion barrels a year. This is renewable energy.

Autos: There are advances using compressed air to power an auto 125 miles between each charge and you can "recharge" for about 2.50 worth of utility electric. http://www.theaircar.com/
Would a car for less than $10.000 interest you? It also has a alcohol air heating option to extend range to over 400 miles using 1.5 liters of Ethanol, about $1.00 (FRN)

Here comes the Holy Grail of energy production, yet no one announced it on MSM news to my knowledge:

This news alone should have drowned out everything else for a week, if not a month!

To power your home and auto from your own roof, this December 18th. Nanosolar announced a thin film solar panel that is being produced "R.F.N." for 99 cents a watt. This is about 1/5 the present cost.
http://blog.nanosolar.com/

Problem is, there is no "Click to Buy Here" button on Nanosolar's site so that You could put those panels on Your roof. Word has it that they are only going to sell to utilities who are on the old dinosaur Power Grid, making us vulnerable to the whims of DC and any terrorist willing to cut down power lines.

Why they didn't go for Ebay I will never know. If demand is so great, they might find people willing to pay $1.99 a watt. Or more.

You could use off the shelf air compressors and carbon fiber tanks to store high pressure air for night time use and power for your cars. A one time expense of about $12,000 to $16,000 should cover the solar panels and compressor and storage tanks if mass produced. If the average bloke spends $450 a month for heat for home and fuel for autos, the payback would be less than 3 or 4 years. Perhaps 5 if I am off by a factor of 20%

Heating and cooling possibilities abound for this system also.

Example:
When an air compressor is compressing, it generates waste heat. You can heat water as a side show of compression.

Whose Planet is this?

I feel the WRONG question, leading to the WRONG assumption has been left on our doorstep.

We can have Ethanol production and quality food while building top soil and sequestering CO2 in the process.

The Problem is not one of having enough fertilizer and land area to have food and fuel. You have been tricked into believing that the equation involves an inescapable Either-Or equation. I got news for you. The WRONG assumptions are being left for you to chew on.

Consider the problem with the above limitations is Monoculture.

You can have more food production and sequester CO2 in the soil using Permaculture, ending up with more food and more people involved in agriculture and small business in a healthy way.

The inputs needed to grow great food, and have by products like Ethanol are not an either-or proposition.

Check out http://permaculture.com/

Other answers exist at Acres USA

Check out "Alcohol Can Be a Gas" by David Blume. In time, copies will be available at http://ush2.com/ when supplies are replenished.
